Starring this week:
READING: The students started reading the novel The Twits by Roald Dahl. It is a very funny book and they are all really enjoying it. GATE and TAGS both started this week, so the kids are busy learning how to manage their classwork.
MATH: In math students are working on how to divide an array into two smaller arrays and then solving. The students will be taking a practice test on the first 3 lessons in math on Thursday. If they get a 100% then they will not take the test on Monday. I will send home the practice test on Friday, so they can study the ones they missed over the weekend.
SCIENCE:We are starting our science FOSS kit on water and climate too. What a fun busy week we will be having.
WRITING: We will be starting our first 3 week unit on informational writing. The students will be writing their first 5 paragraph essay on Sacagawea.
