Starring this week: We are starting a new reading novel called 7 x 9= Trouble!. They will be reading this book during their Read to Self time and answering questions about the text, so we can have some great reading discussions during our group time. They will also be taking their first unit 1 reading test this week which will count as a 90 % grade. In math we are introducing division. Make sure you have some multiplication flash cards to be working with your child. In writing they will be writing their stories on Sacagawea and her qualities that made her special on the Lewis and Clark expedition. Ask your child questions about what qualities they are writing on and have them give you examples to show that quality about Sacagawea.
